About Us

As a Flight Attendant for a major airline for 36 years, I have spent countless hours talking to people and learning their incredible stories. In my own life, I have created a book from my journals, thoughts and memories for my family to read to me if I were ever to get sick or lose my memory. (Yes..I was affected by the movie The Notebook!)

On a flight to London, I spent a long time talking to a passenger. He worked on Wall Street in a very competitive work environment. His company hosted an annual competition that awarded 50K dollars to the winner's charity of choice. This passenger founded a fishing group that took veterans on fishing trips, where he learned about their lives and stories. He shared with me that it was sad to him that their families didn't even know all these stories.

Without taking the time to chat with him, I would have never known his passion for service or realized how it's not uncommon for people not to know so many treasured stories and details about their loved ones. This seemingly simplistic conversation ignited a passion for communication and storytelling within me. If everyone in the world took some extra interest in each other, imagine all of the stories shared that would have otherwise been overlooked. My own father died when I was 9, and I know very little about him. Imagine if I could pick up a book and read all about his life, thoughts and experiences? Although we all seem to search for DNA and ancestry, this doesn't include the more intimate details about our loved ones, such as stories passed down from generation to generation, or just simple details that are important to know.

At Tell Your Story, we have created books of memories for many people, and each time we truly feel that these creations are an important gift to be treasured throughout time. We all have a story to share.

Thank you for letting us help you tell your story.....
